We encourage a high degree of dialogue between participants and the presenter in all presentations at the university pedagogical conference. See your presentation as an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience with the audience. Since the conference is an opportunity for all Umeå University teachers to meet and learn across subject boundaries, it is also important that your presentation is accessible to people outside your subject area. Please avoid any subject-specific abbreviations.
In particular we welcome presentations that encourage active participation and presentations given in collaboration with students. It is possible to present either in Swedish or in English.
We only need your abstract at this stage of the registration process. If your contribution is accepted you will recieve all the information required for your presentation format.
With a presentation, you will have the opportunity to present and discuss a study, a project or pedagogical development work that you want to share and receive feedback on. It is important that your presentation is both empirically and scientifically anchored and clearly demonstrates your pedagogical experiences and basic assumptions.
Time: 30 minutes of which max 20 minutes should be the presentation.

The posters will be set up in proximity of the entrance to Naturvetarhuset. Refreshments will be served there so that conference participants have the opportunity to browse the posters at length.

Your presentation should be based on 20 slides, which are shown for 20 seconds each. During the conference days, there will be one or two sessions that include quick presentations.

In a workshop the participants should work on a particular question or topic. This could mean that you guide the participants to develop something useful for their own teaching, or it may also be to develop something that can be of value to teaching in general. Or whatever you choose!

In a round table discussion you can raise questions, topics or experiences that you want to discuss with a group of colleagues. It may be questions of exploratory, broad or in-depth character. You can also use a round table to test an idea, to find partners or to form a network.
Time: 30 or 60 minutes.
